McWane Center - Trains and More

The McWane Center (Children's museum in Birmingham) opened a new exhibit "The Magic of Model Trains," so I took the boys up to see it. There were several different sets of model trains set up, which the boys loved to watch and watch. They also loved playing at the water table and in the Dino Dig.

I attempted to get all the boys to sit still for a cousin's photo. This was NOT an easy task with a 3 1/2 year old, an almost 3 year old, and an 18 month old. We had a few uncooperatives and a couple meltdowns! Here are some of the shots - pick your favorite!

Colin is One Year Old!

Today, Colin turned one year old! I can't believe how fast the time has gone and how much he has grown, learned and developed in the past year. It seems like just yesterday that he was born! For his birthday, we had a simple family celebration with cupcakes and presents. Colin loved the birthday cake (after he figured out what it was). Daniel "helped" Colin open the presents and both boys enjoyed playing with Colin's new toys. I also got a couple of shots of Colin with his newborn going-home-from-the-hospital outfit to show how much he has grown. Happy Birthday Colin!

It is hard to believe another year has passed by! It has been an eventful year, with the birth of Colin and lot's of fun with family and friends, and also a long year, with Allan being gone most of the year. We are so glad to have him home now and looking forward to our next adventure. Here are a couple of pictures and videos from December that I wanted to share. Enjoy!

Daniel was playing with Playdoh at the table and he was being super good, so I decided to go off and clean the bathroom. I kept peeking around and I could see that he was still sitting nicely in the chair. After a bit, I went back into the kitchen and found this - he had smeared it all in his hair. Luckily it all came out really easily in the bath. :)

Today we went to Going Bonkers. We haven't been there in a really long time, since Colin was a little little. This time, he was able to play around a little bit, which was fun. Here are some pics from our visit.

Colin is Ten Months Old

I know I say this every month, but I can't believe how quickly time passes and how quickly these little guys grow up! It seems like Colin was just born and now he is ten months old! I tried to get some good pictures of him on his 10-month birthday, but he is too active to get many pictures! I got one good one and then lots of him squirming around, trying to get off the couch or get the TV remote. Enjoy!

Breakfast with Santa

Today we went to Breakfast with Santa Claus at Robson Ranch with Mimi, Grandma Sharon, Aunt Rachel and Cousin Aidan. After eating breakfast, all the boys got to see Santa and we got some great pictures of them all together and separate. Then the older boys colored and got stickers. Finally they all watched the Christmas trains in the lobby until the event was over. We had a great time and were glad that Mimi & Granddad invited us all to go!

Pictures with Santa

Today I took the boys to see Santa Claus at North East Mall. It was a much better experience overall than last year, when Daniel cried and screamed! Daniel walked up to Santa and showed him his Thomas the Tank Engine. Then he did sit on Santa's lap pretty well, although he still looked a little nervous. Colin was too little to really be scared, so that was great! Got some cute pics of them. :)

Colin's First Salon Haircut
