Colin Spitting Out Food – And I Mean Spitting!

He was acting out the story, having the big train engine ask the little engine for help. Then the little engine said it would push the big engine over the mountain. Then he pushed the big engine around the table with the little engine. I wanted to get a video too, but when he saw the camera out, he stopped playing it – of course!

I went to Toys R Us to look and see what the boys might want for Christmas presents. I guess I looked around a little too long, and the poor baby passed out right there in the cart. I felt so bad – I picked him up right after I took the picture!

He wanted his ice cream in a cone, but then he asked for a spoon. He then proceeded to eat the ice cream with a spoon out of the cone. After he got all the top ice cream off, he did eventually eat the cone too. :)

Today we helped Grandma Sharon decorate a Christmas tree. Daniel did a really good job helping put the ornaments on the tree, although he mostly put them all on the same branch. :) Here are a couple pics.

Thanksgiving 2010

This Thanksgiving, I got up early and went and ran my first 5K ever - the Turkey Trot in Fort Worth. I was proud of myself for running the whole way and finishing. My time was 32:40. Then I went home and finished getting ready to host the family for Thanksgiving lunch. It was a nice, bug meal with all the family. After lunch, I put up the Christmas tree and relaxed. It was a great day. Here are some pics from the day.

Colin's First Salon Haircut

Colin had his first salon haircut today. He was so excited and loved sitting in the little car chair. Here are a couple of pictures from before and after.

Daniel Draws Aidan

Today Daniel drew his first person. We were at my parent's house and Aunt Rachel called. Grandma was telling Cousin Aidan hello on the telephone. Daniel got excited because he thought Aidan was there. So we told him Aidan was just on the telephone. My mom put the phone on speakerphone so Daniel could say hi to Aidan. Then Daniel said "I draw you Aidan" and he picked up the chalk and drew the figure in blue to the right side of the chalkboard. It was a circle and long line coming out from the circle - Daniel's first stick figure drawing. I don't think I would have believed it if I didn't see it happen myself. AWESOME!

Colin is Eight Months Old

I can't believe how fast time flies! Colin is already eight months old! It seems like just yesterday that he was born. Plus he seems to be growing up so fast because he is doing so much already. This month he perfected his crawling skills and starting pulling up to standing unassisted. He loves to hold onto your hands and walk around. He wants to walk really, really badly - and I don't think it will be too long before he does. It is crazy for me because Daniel didn't crawl until he was 10 months old and Colin is already trying to walk at 8 months! He is also starting to eat more "real" foods and play with more toys. He also already knows exactly what you don't want him to get into and goes straight for it when you put him down - electrical cords, wobbly lamp, dog food bowl, the cat, you name it! Here are some pics from Colin's Eight Month Birthday! We had a hard time getting him to sit still for the pictures. He just wanted to crawl off the couch. :)

Colin Pulls Up

Today Colin pulled himself up to standing for the first time unassisted. He has been pulling up on our hands for a little while, so we knew it was coming soon. Of course he did it the first time when Mom wasn't around. I had gone to College Station for the A&M game (beat O.U. - WHOOP!) with my mom and left the boys with my sister Jennifer. On Sunday morning, she sent me a text message with a picture of him standing up. She had taken one picture of the boys playing and then turned away for a second and when she looked back, he was standing up. So she didn't see him actually do it. Later that day, when I got home, we got him to do it again and me and my mom saw it. I tried to get it on video, but I didn't that day. I did get it on video the next day. Pulled Up on Daniel's Bed

While I was trying to get a video of Colin standing up, Daniel came running in the room and stood between me and Colin saying "I stand up. Take picture me." So I did. :)
