First Day of "School"

Daniel started back to "school" today. He goes Tuesday and Thursday to a local Mother's Day Out program. He really likes it and it is nice to have Colin-only time! Daniel loves to play on the playground, play in the gym with balls and play with trains at school. Here are a couple of pictures from his first day this year.

August 2010

August has been another busy and fun month! We spent a lot of time playing in the pool, at the waterpark, going to Six Flags, spending time with family and just having fun! Colin is growing more and doing more every day. He is eating "solid" foods now and starting to sit well. Daniel started back to school at the end of the month and is talking more and more every day. His sentences are getting longer and more complex all the time. We are trying to start potty-training, but he is only sometimes cooperative! Here are my favorite pictures from this month. Enjoy!

He got it on the organ sound instead of piano sound and said it was a train. He was saying “My hear train!” so I got out the camera to take video.

He always hides under the table and then laughs uncontrollably. I thought it would be funny to video that. Then at the end he says “Under table!”

Daniel wanted to play in this box and he pretended to be sleeping in it. I got the pillow for his head and later he got a blanket too. Then he laid back his head on the pillow and snored.

Daniel and Cousin Aidan played in the little baby pool at Grandma's house today. They were so cute playing together and had such fun. I couldn't pick out just one picture, so I had to make this post and show off a couple of pics. :)

Gatti-Land

Today we went to Gatti-Land with Aunt Jennifer and Mike. Jennifer has been wanting us to go there for awhile because they have a little train that runs around the parking lot and Daniel loves trains so much. When we arrived, the train was parked out front but not running. They were not running it that day! So we had to explain to Daniel that we couldn't ride because it wasn't "on". Don't know why they had to park it right outside when it isn't running! He took it pretty well though. We had a good time letting Daniel play some of the cute games and ride some little rides inside. They have a little carousel and toddler-sized swinging boat, which was his favorite. He also liked the bowling games. Here are a few pictures from the evening. I would have more but my camera battery died while we were there (bad mommy).

Colin Eats Carrots

Today Colin got his first vegetable. I started him on the same one as Daniel - carrots. He seemed to really like the carrots as he likes all food. Here is the video of his first carrots.

Colin's First Haircut

I gave Colin his first haircut today. His original hair that he had when he was born never fell out like Daniel's did. So he had some hair that was super long. It was starting to get into his eyes and it got into little tiny tangles in the back where he rolled around on it. Then under that, he had the shorter layer of new hair that was growing in. So I trimmed the long hair to match the length of the shorter hair. I think I did a pretty good job for my first time cutting someone's hair! He looks so grown up with his little haircut. Six Flags with Aunt Jennifer

Today we went to Six Flags Over Texas with Aunt Jennifer. It was nice to have someone else go so that I could get some cute pictures and video of Daniel on some of the rides. We had a fun time even though it was super hot - over 100 degrees! Here are some of the pictures and video.

Colin is Five Months Old!

Another month has passed and Colin is now five months old! This past month he started eating "solid" foods (baby cereal) and is getting better about sitting up. It won't be too long before he can sit up really well on his own. Here are Colin's five month pictures. Enjoy!
