Fort Worth Stock Show
Today we went to the Fort Worth Stock Show with Mimi & Grand Dad. Daniel got to pet several goats and some chickens in the petting zoo and feed the goats. There was a baby goat there that had just been born the night before! It was so little! Next Daniel went on a pony ride. At first, he didn't want to sit on the horse, but after I put him on it he was OK. We only got around the circle one time, though, before he wanted off. Pretty good for his first time! After that we were pretty hungry, so we got corn dogs to eat. It was Daniel's first corn dog and he ate the whole thing! Then we toured the different barns for a little while - sheep, pigs, cattle and horses. Daniel had a great time walking around and seeing all the animals. Enjoy the pics!

Playing Outside
We have really been enjoying the nice weather lately and trying to play at the park or outside as much as possible. This is the first day Daniel has gotten to play in the backyard at our house when the rain has dried up enough (our backyard holds a lot of water!).

Rodeo Day
Today at school Daniel had Rodeo Day! I made him a little vest out of brown felt. I am SO not crafty, so I felt quite good at my accomplishment! Here are the pics of the vest and Daniel on Rodeo Day. Enjoy!

Science Experiment
Today Daniel had his first "science experiment." Grandma Sharon got some of those little capsules that dissolve in water and become a little foam something. We tried one out with Daniel. Grandma Sharon was very impatient and kept poking at the capsule in the glass of water. Finally (with lots of help from Grandma) the little foam boat was finished.

Fun at the Park
We went to the park a couple of times this week. The first time we went with Grandma Sharon, Aunt Rachel & Cousin Aidan. We had a pretty good time, except poor little Aidan didn't feel good and we found out later he had an ear infection - poor baby! Daniel had lots of fun climbing and going down the slide, swinging and we also took a walk around the pond to see the ducks. Later that day we also played with the remote control Hummer at Grandma's house, which Daniel LOVES!
The next day, Daniel and I went to the park after school and Daniel got to feed the ducks for the first time. At first I pulled off a little piece of bread and threw it to the ducks. Then I gave Daniel a little piece of bread and he ate it! Finally he got the idea that the bread was for the ducks and was quite happy to feed them.

Baby Belly 1-10-2010
I haven't been very good about getting baby belly shots this time around. These are the first I've done since September! Here they are for your enjoyment and amusement! Oh - I was on the phone because Allan called while we were taking the pictures. :)

Daniel's First Time Finger Painting
Today we had a little at-home art project and Daniel finger painted for the first time. At first he was a little hesitant, but then he really got into it. He enjoyed it and kept asking for more paint, more paint. We sent the final project to Dad in a care package!

Daniel's First Day of School
Daniel started school today. He is going to a local MDO program twice a week. This is P week and today was Pajama Day! So he wore his new Cars PJs (big surprise), which coordinated nicely with his Cars lunchbag. I tried to get some good pictures before we left the house, with him holding the lunchbag (looks like a backpack next to him), but he was more interested in sitting down and trying to open it. When we got to his classroom, he immediately started crying. It was interesting because when we went to visit the school, he loved it and didn't want to leave! But I knew he would stop crying after I left. I left him with his teachers (Ms. Angie & Ms. Becky) and watched from the one-way mirror and he stopped in about 30 seconds. When I went to pick him up, they said he had a good day. They made popcorn art, which is proudly displayed on my refrigerator. Daniel carried it out to the car and then tried to eat it. :) Enjoy the pics!
