July 2011

July was a very busy month for us. After returning home from our Texas trip in late June, we got settled back into our home routine plus some extra activities. Daniel attended Mother's Day Out for the summer session Tuesday/Thursday and took Gym & Swim at the local YMCA. Colin also took the Gym class for up to 36 months. I was really happy with the gym class and facilities. Both boys love to do a forward roll and Daniel is super good at balancing. Daniel also did really well in his swimming lessons and will be moving to the next level in his next session. He really loves swimming and loves his swimming lessons. Other than that, we spent a lot of time at the pool trying to keep cool and playing outside. We bought Daniel a big boy bike and he worked with Dad on riding it, but he is still a little small for it (can't quite reach the ground) and still prefers his tricycle or balance bike. We will try again in a few months! Colin wants to ride the tricycle really badly, but he isn't quite big enough for that either, so he just chases and pushes Daniel. They are quite a pair!

Daniel Reading a Train Book
I heard Daniel saying "Trains, trains, trains! I LOVE trains!" which are the words to this book. I went into his room to find him "reading" the book. Too cute!
