Today I took the boys to the Texas State Fair with my mom. First we watched the jumping dog show, where they dive into water. Then we went through a little petting zoo area. They had all kinds of neat animals - a tortoise, giraffe, camels, different types of goats, emus and ostrichs, pigs, puppies, kittens, and more. Most of the areas had babies and mommies, so that was neat too. We didn't get any of the food for feeding, but Daniel kept picking up little pieces of corn off the ground to feed to the animals. They had sand scoops hanging on the fencing to use for feeding instead of using your hands, which I thought was a really neat and good idea - keeps you cleaner and no biting! Then we went through the food pavilion and craft pavilion, saw a big train and got some fair food. Of course, Daniel ate a Texas State Fair Corn Dog! Next we went into the auto area to check out Dad's new car. He is getting a Ford Fiesta when he gets home and I hadn't seen one yet. We took pictures with the model on display, which was a little different than the one we are getting. The picture is with a blue sedan and we are getting a grey hatchback. Close enough though! After that, we passed by Big Tex on our way to the Kid-Way, where Daniel rode some fun rides. Lastly, we went through the garden greenhouse area where they had model trains. Daniel did not want to leave. He wanted to stay and watch the trains for longer. He sure loves trains! We had a great time at the fair and hope you enjoy the pictures!
