Today we went to Cochem, Germany for Explore the Eifel. On this day, all base personnel get to sitesee in the local area. We climbed up the very tall hill and took a tour of the castle. The original castle was destroyed and the current castle is a rebuild. It was pretty with beautiful views of the Mosel River. One of the odd things at the castle was a statue of what appeared to be a frog - but was really a lion in knight's armor!
