Grand Ole' Pumpkin Patch

Today we visited the Grand Ole' Pumpkin Patch in Clanton, AL. First, we headed to the bounce houses because Daniel wanted to jump first. On the way, we saw a Dalmatian dog character and Daniel really wanted to stop and say hello. Colin wasn't as sure, but he did go over and give a high five. I am hoping that is a good sign for the Disney characters for our upcoming trip! Then we went over to the bounce houses and let the boys jump a bit. They had one shaped like a pumpkin / jack-o-lantern. Next we went on the hay ride out to the pumpkin patch. It was neat to actually see the pumpkins out in the fields where they are grown. We searched about for the perfect pumpkin and got lots of great photos of the boys. Mom found the biggest pumpkin, but we decided it was TOO big. Dad found the perfect pumpkin and we headed back to the hay ride to take us back around to the festivities. We had a bite to eat while the boys watched the helicopter take-off and land. They had helicopter tours available there. Colin was especially excited about the helicopter and kept saying "Plane! Plane!" and pointing up in the sky. Colin also found some fun rocks to play in, which reminded me of Daniel playing in the rocks at the Roman Coliseum at about the same age. We had a great day at the pumpkin patch!
